Eddie J
Instruments: Drums, percussion, lead and backup vocals
Eddie (as those of you who have seen us very well know) is the energy and passion of the band. He actually started out playing guitar at age 6 but spent half of his practice time everyday playing the back of the guitar with his hands like a bongo. At age 7, when his guitar instructor had to go into the service, the progression to drums and percussion was a natural one - and he literally has not stopped since. Thanks to his parents, who encouraged him to study many different musical influences, and who drove him to his private lessons with New England jazz great Steve Scorgi for almost a decade, Eddie has been fortunate enough to play in a wide variety of situations - from rock, blues, jazz and studio sessions, to wedding bands and 100 piece orchestras. Eddie and John have been playing together for the better part of 26 years, and One Fine Mess is the culmination of those years. 'John is, without a doubt, the best guitarist I've ever played with. Just watch the guy! In some songs he's playing two and three different guitar parts at the same damn time!' Eddie hopes this trio will be together for a very long time. 'Our goal is to someday be in our 60's and kick a bunch of young punks asses in a Battle Of The Bands. 'That, my friends, would be cool'.
